Pitaya jam

Ingredients

  • 6 pitahayas

  • 500 grams of sugar

  • The juice of 1⁄2 orange

  • 1 green apple

Preparation

  • Cut the dragon fruit in half and remove the pulp with a spoon.

  • In a pot, place the fruit cut into pieces along with the sugar and the apple also cut into small pieces.

  • Let it cook over medium heat, stirring constantly so it doesn't stick.

  • Once the sugar has melted, add the orange juice and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the fruits are completely dissolved.

  • Pour into previously sterilized glass containers and let cool for consumption on toast, cookies, yogurt and others.
